Community Guidelines
Last updated: June 9, 2026
NRIBay exists to help the community buy and sell from each other with trust. These guidelines are part of our Terms of Service and apply to everything you do on the platform β listings, messages, reviews, and profiles.
Be honest
- Describe items accurately, including flaws and defects.
- Use your real name and only one account.
- Honor the deals you make β if you agree to sell or buy, follow through or communicate promptly if plans change.
- Never ask buyers to wire money, buy gift cards, pay "shipping agents," or share verification codes β these are scam patterns and will get your account banned.
Be respectful
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, or personal attacks.
- No discrimination based on race, religion, caste, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic.
- Haggling is fine; abuse is not. Keep negotiations civil.
- Respect people's time β show up to meetups you commit to.
Be safe
- Keep conversations inside NRIBay messages until you're ready to meet.
- Meet in public, well-lit places and inspect items before paying. See our Safety Tips.
- Never share financial credentials, one-time passwords, or copies of identity documents with other users.
Keep the platform clean
- No spam, mass messaging, or repeated unsolicited offers.
- No fake or incentivized reviews, and no review retaliation.
- Only list items allowed under our Prohibited Items & Posting Rules.
- Don't abuse the referral program or attempt to manipulate platform features.
Reporting and enforcement
If you see a listing or receive a message that violates these guidelines, use the report button or the contact page. Depending on severity, violations may result in content removal, warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination β at our sole discretion and without prior notice. We may report illegal activity to law enforcement.
